Stout and other things!

What a night I had at the Evening Express Champions awards bash.  Charlie surprised me with a brilliant PINK limo to take us to the exhibition centre and there was a bottle of champagne to boot!  We had a fantastic meal and I got to meet Cameron Stout!  (see pic).  I didn't win but then I never expected to – it was just a great night out!  I've been non-stop ever since (nothing to do with Cameron though :-).

I have now officially finished my chemo and next week I will have my hickman line removed….yeeehaaaa!  I've had this tube in my chest for ages and it has been a real pain lately.  The boys keep grabbing it and I have to flush it with fluid each night.  And it just keeps getting in the way.  I am soooo pleased that it is going.  My last set of bone marrow results are back and I am still in remission which is another boost.

I've been preparing for the boy christening whish is this weekend at Trinity Church, Westhill.  I am so pleased to be at this point, we did put the boys christening off until I was better and at some points I really did think that I might not make it to this point.  But I am better and I have made it.

It is amazing when I look back at pictures of the boys and compare them to now.  They were so incredibly small when they where born…now they are big boys and love their grub!  I thank God every day for them!

Megan has a broken arm from running (falling) down the dry ski slope at Garthdee (she was watching Amber do her snowboarding lesson) but she is coping really well and, to be honest, you would hardly know she'd done anything to it.

My great friend, Sarah, organized a sponsored head shave!  She decided to try to raise money to take me on a spa weekend break by chopping all her hair off.  She's done really well and is now really cold!  If anyone has any spa recommendations about where to go let me know by email.
